Norwich Theatre Royal is Norfolk’s biggest theatre venue, taking audiences of up to 1300 in its large auditorium, across stalls and the upper circle.
The theatre mostly receives visiting companies, hosting week-long runs of drama, musicals, and dance, alongside one-off comedy and music gigs.
There has been a theatre close to its current site on Theatre Street since 1758, with the current building dating from 1935. It was substantially refurbished in 2007.
The Theatre Royal also manages the Stage Two and Norwich Playhouse venues and provides box office services for local venues and festivals.
