Disco and dance festivals The Cambridge Club has announced two iconic names to its line-up of acts coming to Childerley Orchard from June 9 to 11.

On the Friday night, Mississippi born RnB legend Alexander O’Neal will be funking up the stage as the support for the fearless Grace Jones. Hailing from Liverpool.

The Real Thing will bring their 45-years of iconic performances to the festival on Saturday night. As Britain’s longest-established black group in UK entertainment history, The Real Thing achieved 5 top 10 hits and have cemented themselves as icons in music industry, and will support four-time Grammy winner Lionel Richie.

Further acts on the main stage include disco royalty Kool & The Gang, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Billy Ocean. DJ’s Jo Whiley, Craig Charles, and Odyssey will perform their anthem-fuelled sets alongside the UK’s premier disco tribute act Uncle Funk’s Disco Inferno, Jazz FM’s Soul Artist of the Year Mica Millar and R&B legend Lemar.

The festival programme also includes the comedy and discussion area Auditorium of Intrigue featuring Ed Byrne and Andrew Maxwell, plus a kids area called The Imagination Station, hosting Dick & Dom and The Rainbow Collection, alongside Camp Cambridge with arts & crafts, sing-a-longs and games.
