The classic tale of Don Quixote is coming to historic venues across East Anglia this summer thanks to a new touring production.

Theatre company Quill & Inkling is touring the adaptation of Miguel de Cervantes’s story to venues across the region, including a number of outdoor performances.

The production uses puppetry and clowning to portray Quixote, a middle aged man who decides the world is so awful he will ride out like a mediaeval knight seeking adventures, in this new family friendly version.

Quill and Inkling will share the profit of ticket sales with their venues, which includes Dereham
Windmill and several properties looked after by the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT).

Dates include Whitlingham Country Park (July 29) and Plantation Garden (July 30) in Norwich, St Mary’s Church, Sudbury (August 4); St Mary The Virgin, Dunstable (August 9); St Michael’s Church, Longstanton (August 10), and Dereham Windmill (August 20).
